Water purification: hardness

The hardness of water depends on the content of magnesium and calcium bicarbonates.
Depending on the pH, these can fall and generate limescale deposits, especially where heat is present.

Although there is no scientific proof of cardiovascular illness resulting from hardness, it is generally desirable that certain concentrations are not exceeded, as it has an extremely negative effect on taste and directly on the pipelines of water circuits.
